I’m Jo, and I believe creativity is a place we return to again and again to feel more like ourselves.

And if you’re here, my guess is you feel that little spark when you see fabric, that tug of curiosity, that soft whisper of “I think I want to make something.”

I’m a fabric designer with Phoebe Fabrics, a sewing and quilting pattern maker, and a lifelong believer in the gentle, magical things that happen when we make something with our hands.

And this space? It’s really about you.

• Your desire to learn, explore, and feel deeply at home in your quilting.

I design fabrics and patterns to meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re threading a machine for the first time or are in your quilting era.
I do enjoy the feedback and inspiration from shops and what their friends are looking for.

And because I want every beginner to feel supported, I also offer an online Beginner Quilt Class with clear, encouraging videos that walk you through your first quilt from start to finish.
Most quilt and sewing patterns include video tutorials too.

My own sewing story began in childhood.
My mom taught Kids Can Sew, and I grew up in a fabric store surrounded by gorgeous fabric. That was the start and when I made a very bold neon outfit I made myself in the 90s.
(Think hot pink shorts and a boat neck electric yellow top.)

Those early stitches shaped everything I believe today:

✨ that learning should feel gentle
✨ that making should feel magical
✨ and that fabric has a way of bringing out the best in us

As an Enneagram 1, I bring clarity, order and calm to everything I teach and design with clear instructions and encouraging steps.

This studio space and online space is where you can rest, explore, and create together.
