Beginner Quilt Class

Your First Step to Becoming a Quilter

Maybe you’ve admired quilts for years and wondered if you could make one yourself.

But then the questions start:

What supplies do I need?
How do I use my sewing machine?
Where do I even begin?

The Beginner Quilt Class was created to guide you through that process step by step, so you can confidently make your first quilt and experience the moment every quilter remembers:

Holding your finished quilt and realizing…

“I made this.”

Everyone starts somewhere. This is where beginners begin.

If You’ve Ever Thought…

“I would love to make a quilt, but I don’t know where to start.”

You’re not alone.

Most beginners don’t struggle with sewing itself.
They struggle with uncertainty.

What supplies do I need?
How do I use my sewing machine?
What comes first?
Will I be able to finish?

Beginner Quilt Class removes that uncertainty and shows you the process one clear step at a time.

How You Become a Quilter

Quilters aren’t born knowing how to do this. We learn step by step.

In this class, you’ll move through three simple stages.

  • 1. Gather the Supplies

You’ll learn the simple tools and fabrics needed to begin quilting with confidence.

You’ll understand what supplies you need, how fabrics work together, and how to prepare your materials before sewing.

  • 2. Sew the Quilt Top

Next, you’ll learn how to use your sewing machine and piece your quilt top together one square at a time.

Clear demonstrations and simple techniques make this step approachable even for beginners.

  • 3. Finish Your Quilt

Finally, you’ll quilt the layers together and bind the edges so your quilt is completely finished.

Choose the Quilt That Feels Right for You

Inside The Beginner Quilt Class, you can choose the project that fits your time and goals.

You may choose from:

Mini Quilt / Plant Mat 12" x 12"

Table Runner 28" x 12"

Baby Quilt, 36" x 36"

Each project uses the same simple method.

A smaller project builds confidence.
A larger project deepens your skills.

Same steps, just a different number of squares.

Quilting is about learning the process, practicing your skills, and finishing something you’re proud of.

You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like, and it’s always encouraging to see other quilts coming together.
