Thank you for your interest in speaking at the Quilting Together Summit. I’m excited to have you collaborate in this quilting event. 

The Quilting Together Summit is a 3 day virtual event that will help quilters learn new skills and inspire fresh ideas.

On this page, you’ll find resources meant to make speaking easy and answer any questions you have. All the dates are near the bottom of the page. If you have a question, please email me anytime at jo@josimpsondesign.com

How the Summit Will Work

The Quilting Together Summit will run from October 16-18.
It is free to register for the summit with an optional paid upgrade to the All Access Pass +Bonuses.

Presentations will be pre-recorded, 10-45 minutes in length, with a 3 minute promo at the end. 

Under your presentation video will be a link to your freebie (also called a lead magnet). This could be a pdf cheatsheet, guide, template, graphic, document, etc that complements your video. A sign up link for attendees to get this will be one of the two ways for you to collect attendees’ email addresses and grow your email list.

Along with the presentations, there will be a Facebook Group for attendees to have fun in, hold each other accountable, play BINGO, let you know how much they loved your talk, and ask questions. If you’re available please feel free to check in and chat with attendees.

We will have a few optional Teacher Q&A Live Times throughout the summit. You are free to sign up for any or all, or none, whichever works for you and your comfort zone. I want to offer more opportunities for the attendees to connect and get to know you.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! I'll even have suggested posting/sending schedule ideas for you to make promo easy.

During the promotion phase, while the summit is running, and for 2 days after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the All Access Pass +Bonuses. This includes an all access pass for the replays, speaker and host provided bonuses, and grand prize draws. All speakers will receive the All Access Pass +Bonuses.

This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay!

What I’ll Ask of You

So this all sounds great, but what kind of work does it require of you? Let’s chat about it!
Our goal is to make everything easy so we can all enjoy the event while providing immense value and growing our businesses.

1. BASIC INFORMATION

The first thing I’ll need is some basic information from you so I can finish up our registration Page and Speakers Page. 

Just send me the thumbs up that you’re in for now. Next you can send your photo, bio and presentation topic.
This information will also go into the lookbook. The lookbook will go out as a thank you to all attendees and speakers on the last day, Oct 18th. 

It will include your photo, bio, socials, class title and freebie.

2. PRESENTATION

Next up is your presentation! This is a 10-45 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn something great, while having fun in the process.

I will send out a spreadsheet link for presentation topics. This way you can post your idea and see what others are doing and avoid very similar presentations. For this summit it will be for techniques that can be done on a domestic machine.

Please use an external mic if you are using your cell phone to record at more than one angle or distance from yourself, or if the mic holes have debris in them. I recommend a Boya Lapel Mic.

Please ensure your workspace is well lit. Recording by a window, out of direct sunlight can help. Sometimes editing the brightness of a video clip after recording can help too.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they've really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they're missing something that they need to buy from you asap.

You are free to use your presentation however you’d like after 12 months when the attendees no longer have access to the All Access Pass +Bonuses. I will send a reminder email once this time is up on October 15, 2027.

Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format:

  • A quick introduction 

  • An overview, or show a sample of your topic

  • Reminder to grab their freebie if it makes sense here, or near the end

  • Teaching or information section

  • Specific action steps if applicable

  • Up to a 3 minute freebie pitch

Presentations are due by September 1.

3. Freebie Pdf

Under your presentation video will be a link to your freebie. This could be a pdf cheatsheet, guide, template, graphic, document, etc that complements your video. A sign up link for attendees to get this will be one of the two ways of how you collect attendees’ email addresses.

4. All Access Pass +Bonuses CONTRIBUTION

The All Access Pass +Bonuses will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to grow your email list, I’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

  • Studio Tours

  • Quilt Patterns

  • Templates

  • Workbooks

  • Classes

  • 1-month memberships

  • eBooks

Note: I expect this to convert well so I do not recommend contributing any 1:1 offers.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate.

Anyone who does contribute a premium resource will get a 50% affiliate commission on sales, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.

Information for this is due on Sept 1. You'll receive a questionnaire to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.

Attendees will be able to start claiming your bonus right when registration opens on October 1. 

We ask that any coupon codes for premium bonuses are open for six months for All Access Pass +Bonuses purchasers to redeem.

5. PROMOTION

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for this event. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share on social media and to email their lists during the promotion period, starting on October 1. 

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link, so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any All Access Pass +Bonuses sales (50% if you've contributed a bonus).

6. EVENT PARTICIPATION  

And last comes participation during the weekend of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

You can participate in the Facebook Group if you are available. If you aren’t available no worries.

There will be optional Group Teacher Q&As each day at 1:00 Mountain Time. You can sign up for as many of these as you’d like or none, it’s up to you. You can also send me any questions you’d like me to ask you and we will collect attendee questions from the Facebook group beforehand and we will have general questions for all of the teachers to answer.
Again this is optional and what you are comfortable with.
It is a good way for attendees to get to know you.

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the All Access Pass +Bonuses where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by October 28, 2026.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers

  • 50% for all speakers who include a premium bonus contribution

The pricing structure will be:

  • $45 for 20 minutes after initial registration

  • $49 from October 1-18

  • $69 from October 19-20

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, I will send things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads. 

Just remember to use your affiliate link, which I will send out links for.

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.

Remember to copy the important dates to your calendar. Because if you’re like me, if it’s not in your calendar it doesn’t exist.

Here’s a roundup of our key dates:

  • July 7 or as soon as possible: Headshot, bio, social links, website link.
    Speaker Agreement signed

           Presentation topic idea once I send the spreadsheet.

  • July 7: Presentation topic and description

  • Sept 1: Presentation, Presentation title, description, photo due

  • Sept 1: Lead magnet (pdf) title, and link to collect emails due

  • Sept 1: All Access Pass +Bonus contribution title, description, link, and photo (if applicable) due

  • Oct 1-16: Promotion period

  • Oct 1: Live Speaker Q&A (during the summit) sign ups come out for Oct 16-18

  • Oct 16-18: Summit dates

  • Oct 18 or 19: The lookbook will go out as a thank you to all attendees. It will include your photo, bio, socials, and class title.

  • Oct 20: All Access Pass +Bonuses cart closes

  • Oct 28, 2026: Affiliate payouts
